Carleton-Fundy Mutual is an innovative, member-owned Canadian insurance company. Founded in 1930s when property insurance was unavailable to rural New Brunswickers, Carleton-Fundy Mutual was formed by farmers pooling their resources. Though Carleton-Fundy has been a dedicated insurance provider for over 70 years, their web presence was out-of-date for a long time. Carleton-Fundy’s leadership team approached Emberly, seeking a fresh presence for the brand. The Emberly team worked to understand Carleton-Fundy Mutual’s core demographic, and began to develop a clear online expression of the brand. Emberly sourced all photography, crafted all graphic design, and wrote all copy for the new website. In addition to the usual creative assets, Emberly created a French version of the Carleton-Fundy website. Emberly’s team led the hiring and project management of a third-party translator, carefully vetting one who specialized in translations of Canadian French. The resulting French version was accepted by the Carleton-Fundy French team with no revisions, and Emberly even created a French version of the logo, ensuring the entire website was an excellent experience for native French speakers. The website was built with multi-lingual capabilities, meaning that it will default to the user’s system language, while still allowing users to switch between English and Français Our team is excited to have developed a new online home for such an established brand. The new Carleton-Fundy website is responsive, multi-lingual, and just like Carleton-Fundy themselves, dedicated to being helpful and member-focused.
