No Bullying Schools is one of Emberly’s best portfolio pieces and most full-featured applications. The website is a full software solution aimed at handling bullying in schools. Students can report bullying via the app or website, anonymously or using their name. School administrators can login and access bullying reports, mark reports as resolved, or reassign them to another school staff member. Custom reporting allows school administrators to see the most common times and zones where bullying incidents occur, and intervention suggestions walk staff through dealing with each incident. Additionally, NBS provides a character-positive video curriculum for students, with discussion questions for teachers to use in class.
The No Bullying Schools team and Emberly worked with some of the best anti-bullying researchers in the world to develop the No Bullying Schools application, with suggested interventions for each bullying incident. The goal is to walk school administrators through handling each bullying incident.
Emberly worked on each part of the No Bullying Schools project, including developing a custom iOS and Android app. We developed the app and the admin backend from scratch. We also edited and shot many pieces of the video footage for the No Bullying Schools curriculum.
