Siteground Is Relocating Sites

What’s going on this month?

For those of our clients who haven’t switched to Emberly Hosting and are still on SiteGround (our second-favorite hosting provider), there’s one new change to be aware of. Many of our clients have received emails from SiteGround explaining their location change and requesting DNS changes be made to their client’s websites.

What’s this all about, and if you’re on SiteGround, what do you need to do about it? Well, Siteground has increased the number of data centers and CDN locations in the USA so they are moving sites around to better fit the needs of each website.

What do I need to do?

First, check if your website is hosted on Siteground. You can look up your current host using HostingChecker.com.

My website is hosted with Siteground.

You should receive an email from Siteground that will identify what websites are being moved and on what date. Once you receive a confirmation email, you have 14 days to make DNS adjustments.

Let Emberly Digital worry about the technical details.

The easiest way to ensure your DNS records are correct is to contact us and we’ll take a look for you. (Emberly Digital’s clients on a Website Maintenance Package will receive DNS adjustments at no additional cost.)
