Created for the Workforce Intelligence Network through a Department of Defense grant from the State of Michigan, the MI Career Training website allows Michigan residents to easily find career trainings that will give them a leg up in the ever-changing job market.
The MI Career Training website was completely conceptualized and redeveloped by Emberly Digital before being presented to and approved by the Workforce Intelligence Network Board of Directors. The website is extremely user-centric and mobile-friendly, giving people an easy way to find any type of training.
We’ve used a few calculus formulas to make this site one of the fastest map-based directory programs available online. The Haversine formula allows us to cache and calculate the distance between points based on the curvature of the earth. This allows us to make less requests to Google’s API, saving money and load time.
